International TheatreKingfestival

The Festival's focus is on myth as the unique genre of the worlds literature and transformation of mythology in national epos, fantastic stories, fantasies, fairy-tales. The Festival presents contemporary performing arts productions from Russia and Europe in two separate programs: for children and youth and for adults aiming to reveal new ways of bringing fantastic stories on stage in drama theatre and contemporary dance, puppet theatre, non-verbal and visual theatre.
In 2013 the festival offers a Visitor's Package to it's international guests.

Theatre Unions Grants to support production of performances for children and youth

As part of the State Program aimed to support Theatre for Children and Youth Russian Theatre Union has established grants for the Russian drama, TYA and puppet theatres to encourage production of performances for children under the age of 12.

SOLO, International Theatre Festival of Solo Performances

Harlequin, National Award and Festival of Theatre Art for Children

Russian Theatre Union established the Russian National Award in TYA (Theatre for young audience). Every year laureate of the Festival "Harlequin" in nomination "The best performance" is awarded with a grant for new production. The Festival program also includes the workshop for the directors working in TYA.

Authors Stage, National Playwrights Seminar

The seminar is open to young playwrights and new plays. Readings of the plays are directed and performed by young artists and include active audience discussions.

International Summer TheatreSchool

For a period of month young professional theatre actors from Russia and abroad have classes of Acting, Voice, Scenic Fight and Movement, Fencing, Contemporary dance, etc. The classes are given by masters from established Russian theatre schools and famous theatre and film artists. Working language is Russian.

Place for acting, Creative Workshop

Young directors, actors, playwrights and designers are invited to apply for Creative Workshop "Place for acting" to produce a performance. Five artistic groups will be chosen on a competitive basis by a group of experts, and each will be awarded funds to realize their project.
Each group will have a 20 day period to work on their production.

ART-migration, Youth Forum and Festival

Young directors recently graduated from Moscow theatre schools whose performances are in repertoire of Russian theatres beyond Moscow and Saint Petersburg are the heroes of the Festival. The Forum offers a platform for the dialogue for creative youth who are professionals in different field of Art and also an opportunity to participate in seminars, presentations, discussions, and showcases.
If you are keen on performances of young directors, want to take part in educational seminars and have ideas on key points of the Forum you could apply for a placement supported with free accommodation in Moscow.

Digital Theatre Words

Digital Theatre Words (DTW) is a global project undertaken by International Organization of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians (OISTAT), the goal of the project is to compile an Internet dictionary addressed to all theatre professionals: set designers, stage architects, managers, costume designers, light designers, sound specialists, technicians, etc.
